Mark your calendar and make your reservation now to attend the Ark Valley Credit Union’s Annual Meeting and Dinner on March 26, 2012. The cost for the dinner is $3.00 per person and seating is limited. Children under 12 are free. Doors open at 5:45pm, dinner will start at 6:00pm and the meeting at 7:00pm. This is your opportunity to elect officials and hear the Credit Union’s plans and progress report. If you would like to serve on a committee, please contact the credit union office.

Because of the weekend and the observance of Emancipation Day, there are two extra days to file in 2012. You must submit your 2011 tax forms electronically or have them postmarked by Tuesday, April 17, ‘12 |

Holiday Loan Deferments
Net $1,665.00
The Loan Deferment Program implemented this year resulted in $1,665.00 being donated to help less fortunate families at Christmas time. Funds were given to the Winfield Police Department for their “Blue Santa” project, which helped 13 families have a merrier Christmas, as well as the Salvation Army’s “Bells Across the Countryside”. Thanks members for your participation in this rewarding project. We hope to be able to continue this program as a yearly project. Through this program members were able to defer their December loan payments if they made a $5.00 donation per loan to be given to the less fortunate in our community this Christmas.

Club Oz Members Visit with Santa
On December 17th Santa made a special stop at the Ark City office to visit with Club Oz members about their Christmas wishes. There were 60 kids in attendance at the party that consisted of a visit on Santa’s knee, a special treasure chest bank from Santa, a drawing for door prizes and names on snowflakes which are decorating the lobby. Cookies and punch were also served as a treat. Tatyn Porter and Tyler Additon won the V-Tech Readers that were given away as door prizes. Congratulations!!!

This Santa Tree was a new
addition to the Ark City
office lobby this Christmas and was used as the theme for our tree decorated at the 3rd Annual Festival of Trees where all funds raised are to help with Habitat for Humanity.
